The Membership module is a crucial component of BowlsLink in that it integrates with the majority of the other modules and functions.
Membership management at member, club, district/league, region/zone and state levels within BowlsLink means that whenever data is updated it filters through all tiers of the system.
Individual members within the sport can update their own membership account and update basic contact details such as address, email and phone numbers if required.
Every member in the sport has a designated membership number which is a unique identifier which can be used when entering Competitions and Events.
BowlsLink Membership Basics #
Member Information #
this includes name, dob, address, email, phone and emergency contact information. Clubs can also create their own fields should wish they to do so, for example to record locker numbers.
Records of transfers #
if members change clubs the new club must perform a transfer through BowlsLink, these may require approval from the members previous club and the state body. BowlsLink also allows members to belong to multiple clubs however one club will be the Primary Club for the purposes of playing club championships and pennants whilst others are considered secondary clubs where the member may play under a permit or be a social member.
Member Groups #
clubs can create member groups and assign members primarily to be used with Email Campaigns
Member Types #
clubs set the member Types based on the Clubs Constitution. Each Type must be aligned to a National Participation Type. Members with correct Participation type can then be entered in Competitions whilst those who do not will be blocked from doing so. Clubs can also set Membership Types to be auto renewed, add criteria such as age and allowed them to be selectable by new or renewing members.
Member Exports & Reports #
Clubs and higher bodies have the ability to run reports through BowlsLink based on the membership. This information helps compile statistics which can be used to report to government bodies and sponsors or for any other purposes.
Member Certifications #
certifications are other type of achieved qualification that the member holds. This can be added as club, state or national level. They can include first aid certifications, bar manager, working with children, along with coach and umpiring accreditation. Playing permits are another type of certification which can be applied giving the member permission to play for a club in a nomination pennant competition.
Other #
additional membership functions include Financial Until which allows the club to track the financial status of each member. Member Since allows the club to assign a joining date. Emergency Contact details fields are also available for each member
